Recover corrupted or unplayable ProRes footage on macOS.
ProResCue recovers ProRes video files that won't open after a camera crash, a power cut, or a storage card that filled up mid-recording. The footage is still there on the card. The file just can't play because the recording was never properly closed. ProResCue fixes that.
Before spending a credit, use Recover Preview to generate a free full-length watermarked copy of your file. If the preview plays correctly, the full recovery will work.
Recovering a file costs one Rescue Credit. Credits are purchased through the App Store and sync across all your Macs via iCloud. A single credit costs $9.99. A pack of ten costs $49.99. Credits are only consumed after a successful recovery.
ProResCue supports ProRes 422, 422 HQ, 422 LT, 422 Proxy, 4444 and 4444 XQ. It works with footage from any camera that records ProRes natively, including RED cameras. Files larger than 4 GB are supported.
Drop the file onto the app and it scans the footage, detects the video properties and gives you an estimate of what can be recovered. From there you can run a free preview recovery or purchase a credit to recover the full file.
ProResCue recovers files where the recording was interrupted before it could be properly closed. It cannot recover files where the video data itself was lost, overwritten, or recorded in a format other than ProRes.
